Bite size tech: Red Bull RB12 rear wing endplates

The rear wing endplates being used by Red Bull in Sochi not only feature the wider, full length tyre wake slots that the team has used before, but in addition they have three strakes leading toward the trailing edge. These create disturbances that break up the pressure on the surface of the endplate, improving their efficiency and define the direction of the airflow aft of the endplate.
