Bite-size tech: McLaren MP4-31 front wing changes

McLaren has made a small alteration to its front wing for the Russian GP, with the introduction of a vertical fin mounted within the main cascade. The fin, highlighted in green, will change the way in which airflow moves around the front tyre, refining the airflow structures being created. Meanwhile, it appears the cascades inner endplate may have seen some slight revision too, with the upper corner chamfered to allow more room for airflow within the cascade.
