Perez confident luck will change in Melbourne
After a slice of back luck in Jeddah, Sergio Perez is confident that his fortunes will turn around in Australia at the weekend. The Red Bull driver produced the ‘lap of his life' to take the first pole position of his Formula 1 career last time out in Saudi Arabia, and had been leading the race well before pitting, but an ill-timed Virtual Safety Car period allowed those around him to pit with less of a loss of time, which eventually dropped him down to P4 in the race. He had also been running well in Bahrain in the season opener, but both he and team-mate Max Verstappen retired late on in the race, leaving him potentially 25 points short of what his total could be after two races....
