Imola pushing for long-term return to Formula 1
Emilia Romagna President Stefano Bonaccini is aiming to bring Formula 1 back to Imola long-term, rather than as a one-off. For the first time since 2006 Formula 1 made its return to the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari to contest the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, a late addition to the 2020 calendar which had to be redesigned due to the global pandemic. Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag to claim the 93rd win of his career, but it may not be the last time that Formula 1 visits this iconic venue.
