Imola eyes permanent F1 slot off back of 2020 return
The President of the Emilia Romagna region says Imola is aiming for a place on future Formula 1 schedules following its one-off return last weekend. Formula 1 visited Italy for the third time this year, following rounds at Monza and Mugello, by returning to Imola after a 14-year absence. The event was held under the auspices of the Emilia Romagna region in which Imola is located. Formula 1 is inching towards a provisional 2021 calendar as close as possible to the pre-Covid-19 2020 roster, with 23 events possible, amid the likely inclusion of Saudi Arabia.
