Daniel Ricciardo's podium finish at the Eifel Grand Prix marks the upward trend seen at Renault. Since the Belgian Grand Prix, the French team has found its way up and points have been scored every race. Nico Rosberg also sees this upward trend at Renault. Breakthrough at Renault Renault did particularly well on circuits where the downforce is less important, such as Monza or Spa-Francorchamps, but now the team is also doing well on other circuits. According to Rosberg this is mainly due to the Renault's improved rear and diffuser.
