F1: Lawson disqualified
Liam Lawson has been disqualified from qualifying but will be allowed to participate in the Mexico City Grand Prix. Following qualifying, the New Zealander's car was examined and it was discovered that it did not comply with the requirements of Articles C5.12.6 and C5.12.7 of the regulations. The stewards summoned Racing Bulls team representatives, Lawson, the Single Seater Sporting Director and members of the FIA Technical team including the FIA Technical Delegate. Evidence submitted, which was accepted by all parties present, showed that after the control line at the end of his fastest lap in Q2, Lawson did not lift off the power immediately.
