Magnussen reveals world champion ambition

Haas driver Kevin Magnussen has said if he had a crystal ball that told him he'd never win a world championship, then he would quit Formula 1 altogether. Magnussen will start his fifth season in F1 next weekend in Australia, as the 2019 campaign gets underway. The Dane will be competing in his third with Haas after a year at McLaren and then Renault respectively beforehand - with the strange stat of his best position a debut podium finish in Australia with McLaren. Magnussen has ruled out a push to F1's top three of Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes this season, and has accepted Haas will be fighting in the midfield.
