Frijns – Second “more valuable” than victory risk

Envision Virgin Racing’s Robin Frijns says his first podium with the team was “more valuable” than risking losing it going for his maiden Formula E win in Marrakesh. Frijns was behind leader Mahindra’s Jerome d’Ambrosio after the safety car restart on the final lap of the Marrakesh race, but didn’t look to be attacking him much. He secured second, finish 0.1 seconds behind d’Ambrosio. “I was behind Jerome on the last lap and maybe regretting a bit that I didn’t have a go. But being in this position for the first time with this team, I think the points were more valuable than to have a go at him and maybe not finish the race,” he said.
