Aston Martin splits its famous name to survive financial storm

Aston Martin has secured a crucial £550 million financing package by giving up majority control of the Aston Martin brand in businesses outside its core automotive operations, a dramatic move that underlines the financial pressure facing the British luxury car maker. Importantly, the deal has no impact on the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, which remains separate from the transaction.
