Bottas fastest in redundant wet-weather session – FP3 Report

French Grand Prix – Valtteri Bottas set the pace ahead of Carlos Sainz in the final free practice session at the Circuit Paul Ricard, but a heavy rain shower meant that any lap times were insignificant. A heavy downpour in the opening minutes of the session meant that minimal running was completed, meaning that the expected qualifying simulations were not completed before the qualifying hour. Of the drivers who decided to leave the pits in the dry opening minutes of the session, Valtteri Bottas set the fastest time of a 1:33.666.
