The FIA have authorised the use of rear view mirrors attached to the halo of Formula 1 cars with immediate effect, provided they pass mandatory tests. FIA technical chief Nikolas Tombazis clarified the positioning and related requirements for attaching mirrors to the halo which must meet the governing body's rear vision and sturdiness tests.
