Teams to be allowed to fit mirrors to Halo

With some claiming that even at the best of times the mirror on an F1 car is about as effective as a chocolate fireguard, the new regulations for 2017, not to mention this year's introduction of the Halo device, has compromised their use even more. From this weekend however, teams have the official all-clear to mount mirrors to their Halos, providing that they meet with all current regulations including their dimensions. 'We expect that you will be able to satisfy us that the installation is sufficiently rigid to ensure that the mirror does not vibrate too much, which would limit driver visibility.' said the FIA's single-seater technical boss Nikolas Tombazis in a directive sent to all the...
