Lowe: Williams can win as customer team
– Paddy Lowe, newly-signed Chief Technical Officer at Williams, is adamant that the team can win races and titles as a customer, despite the current power unit regulations.Williams is one of three Mercedes-powered teams on the grid, alongside the factory outfit and Force India, with Ferrari, Renault and Honda the other engine manufacturers.Ron Dennis, formerly in charge of McLaren, claimed it is impossible for a customer to succeed in modern-day F1, prior to the team swapping Mercedes for exclusive Honda power.However, asked by GPUpdate.net if he feels a customer team can still win, as opposed to being a manufacturer or having a dedicated partner, Lowe replied with a clear...
