Pirelli confirms nominated tyre compounds for US GP at COTA

Formula 1’s tyre supplier Pirelli has announced the compounds it will take to the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. The medium, soft and super-soft compounds will be used at October’s race in Austin, Texas. It is the first time the super-soft will be used at the track. One set of the soft and one set of the medium tyre must be made available for the race, with at least one of those being used. Meanwhile one set of the super-soft tyre must be set aside for Q3.
