F1 race weekend format could be overhauled in 2016

The FIA and Formula One Management are currently reviewing "exciting and innovative" changes, which could result in an overhaul to the grand prix weekend. During Wednesday's Strategy Group meeting, it was decided that the race weekend format should be looked at to see if it can be changed for the better. "Several exciting and innovative changes to the qualifying and race weekend formats have been discussed," confirmed the FIA's statement on the matter.
