How will the revised F2 schedule affect F1’s Baku weekend?
The FIA Formula 2 Championship will introduce a unique weekend format for Round 12 of the 2026 season at the Baku City Circuit, with the Azerbaijan round featuring an additional Qualifying session and a second Feature Race. The F2 field will compete in Baku from 24-26 September, where the championship will be the only support series accompanying the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This has allowed the organisers to expand the usual race weekend schedule. The Baku weekend will consist of one Free Practice session, two Qualifying sessions, one Sprint Race and two Feature Races.
