Antonelli tops disrupted final practice in Madrid as Hamilton crashes
Andrea Kimi Antonelli continued Mercedes’ impressive start to the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix weekend in Madrid by setting the fastest time in a heavily disrupted final practice session. The championship leader produced his best lap in the closing stages of FP3 to move to the top of the timesheets with a benchmark that put him 0.166 seconds clear of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. It was Antonelli’s second practice-session victory of the weekend, strengthening Mercedes’ position ahead of qualifying at the new Madring circuit.
