Elated Antonelli takes home victory at Monza
F1 Grand Prix, GP Italy, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli has won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Starting from 19th on the grid he carved his way through the field and fought hard with teammate George Russell to further extend his championship lead. Russell finished a close second as Verstappen completed the podium. Qualifying on Saturday set an interesting picture for the Italian Grand Prix with Pierre Gasly taking a surprise pole position for the first time in his F1 career.
