Montoya reveals Russell’s unexpected Antonelli problem

George Russell’s battle against Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes is already a daunting challenge on pure performance grounds. But according to Juan Pablo Montoya, the Briton faces another unexpected obstacle: Antonelli is simply too easy to like. The 19-year-old Italian has exploded onto the 2026 scene, emerging as one of Formula 1’s defining talents and building a commanding lead in the Drivers’ standings over his Mercedes team-mate.
