Sainz piles pressure on Williams as Alonso eyes Hungary

Jun.29 Carlos Sainz has piled further pressure on Williams after another frustrating weekend in Austria, amid continuing speculation he could look elsewhere for 2027 if the team fails to improve. The Spaniard retired with an electrical failure on Sunday, despite enjoying 'much better pace' compared to earlier in the weekend. Williams is expected to introduce major upgrades at Silverstone, but Sainz made it clear they cannot arrive soon enough. When asked if he's feeling positive about an improved car, he answered: 'Let's not kid ourselves, positive within the context of our current performance, which is very poor,' he said.
