De Vries on F1 rumours: "That's just the way it is in the media".

After winning the world title in Formula E, Nyck de Vries was linked with various Formula 1 teams. He was mentioned as a possible driver for Williams, Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo. However, there is no room for him at the first two teams and Alfa Romeo would therefore be his only remaining option. Honoured to be mentioned Besides Formula E, De Vries also won the Formula 2 championship. Despite winning two titles, the Dutchman has yet to make the step to Formula 1. The fact that he is now being linked with several teams does not mean anything. Especially after the confirmation of Alexander Albon at Williams, the chances seem slim for De Vries.
