Sainz crashes out of Monaco practice

Article To news overview © XPBimages Carlos Sainz's promising start to the Monaco Grand Prix came to a crashing end in second practice. The Spaniard clipped the inside barrier at the second part of La Piscine, a classic error made by F1 drivers, damaging his front suspension and leaving him powerless to resist the secondary impact on corner exit. Sainz's incident mimics the mistake made by Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc in qualifying in 2021 which left the Monégasque unable to take part in the race.
