Indy 500: First day of practice washed out at the Speedway

©IndyCar As we await an update on the fate of this weekend's Emilia Romagna GP at Imola, poor weather washed out the opening day of practice for the Indy 500. Intermittent showers forced the cancellation of the day's running for the 107th edition of IndyCar's "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 28. Track activity is scheduled to resume on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Speedway. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21. ©Indycar
