Mazepin set for racing return after Haas F1 axe

The Russian driver made his debut for the squad in the 2021 season and looked set to be retained for 2022. However, Mazepin was axed shortly before the start of the campaign following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, prompting Kevin Magnussen to make a surprise comeback to fill the vacant seat. Mazepin and his father Dmitry were also added to a list of individuals who are subject to European Union sanctions.
