Fernando Alonso was surprised Ferrari brought Charles Leclerc for a pitstop to try and get the fastest lap, joking they always do some strange strategy. The Scuderia misjudged the gap between Leclerc, running fifth towards the end of the 2022 Belgian Grand Prix, and Alonso, and brought him on for a set of Soft tyres to try and get an extra point for the fastest lap of the race. But the Monegasque emerged behind the Spaniard and had to fight his way back to fifth, which he did, but the fastest lap couldn't be achieved.
