Zhou praises Halo for saving him in horror accident

Alfa Romeo driver Zhou Guanyu said that F1's Halo cockpit protection device almost certainly saved his life in today's horror accident at Silverstone during the initial start to the British Grand Prix. Zhou and Mercedes' George Russell inadvertently squeezed Pierre Gasly's ALphaTauri i a pincer movement in the run down to the first corner when the lights went out. Gasly clipped Russell's left rear wheel sending him spinning into Zhou, whose car was flipped on its head. It then skidded down the tarmac balanced on the roll bar and Halo before ploughing into the gravel trap.
