Ferrari MGU-K identified as major weakness for Haas

Ferrari’s MGU-K is the biggest hurdle facing the Haas team at the moment after a number of failures in the last few rounds of the year. Magnussen was delayed in his garage for some of qualifying in both Bahrain and Imola, before suffering failures that put him out of both the Monaco Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The issues all stemmed from Ferrari’s power unit, and while it is not certain exactly where the problems came from, Auto Motor und Sport believe that the issue at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was down to the MGU-K.
