Schumacher: 'Weight of RB18 affects tire wear and braking'
Ralf Schumacher thinks Red Bull Racing would benefit enormously from losing kilograms. The RB18 is said to be some ten kilograms heavier than the Ferrari and according to Schumacher, the consequences became painfully obvious in the Australian Grand Prix. Fellow analyst Timo Glock let slip in the afterthought on German Sky further to think that Charles Leclerc is already the absolute number one at Ferrari. "I think weight is an issue there, it affects tire wear and it affects braking in the corners," Schumacher said of Red Bull's car.
