Motorsport magnate Kevin Kalkhoven passes away at the age of 77

Kevin Kalkhoven, former co-owner of Cosworth, the KV Racing Team and the Champ Car World Series, among others, died on 4 January 2022 at the age of 77. Cosworth reports this on the official website of the company. Kalkhoven was an influential man in motorsports. In 2003, he became co-owner of the Champ Car World Series, which merged with the Indy Racing League in 2008 to become the IndyCar Series. With his own team PKV Racing, later known as KV Racing Technology, he achieved five wins including the Indy 500 in 2013.
