Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc is in self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19, the Scuderia said in a statement on Thursday. The Monegasque, who just capped off his third season with Ferrari, tested positive for coronavirus after returning home following the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the subsequent post-season test in the UAE capital. The Maranello-based team said Leclerc is “feeling fine” and will self-isolate at his main residence, in line with coronavirus protocols. “[Charles] has tested positive for COVID-19,” Ferrari said. “In accordance with protocols required by FIA and the team, Charles was tested on his return from Abu Dhabi.
