Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the F1 calendar until 2030
Formula 1 and the organisers of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have inked a deal that sees the UAE venue on the world championship calendar until at least 2030. Yas Marina Circuit held its first Grand Prix in 2009, and has since been a mainstay on the F1 calendar paying for the privilege of hosting every season finale and, it is fair to say, that although the venue is a jewel on the schedule it has not always good for close racing. However, that should change this year with a revised layout that will speed lap times up by over ten seconds per lap, and hopefully provide for much closer racing.
