Taffin finds new challenge outside Formula 1
Alpine is busy with a big reorganisation and there is no room for Remi Taffin. The engine chief has been working for the French in Formula 1 since 1999, but after more than twenty years that adventure comes to an end. Taffin has found a place to stay. Starting next season he will be working for chassis builder Oreca. Taffin is now leaving Formula 1 for the time being. In August he was rumoured to be linked to Red Bull Racing. The Austrian racing team will start the Powertrains project next year and is looking for experienced technicians. It has become clear that Taffin will not be joining Milton Keynes.
