F1 announces record 23-race schedule for 2022

Formula One has announced a record 23-race calendar for the 2022 season, which will be the longest in the championship's history. With the introduction of the Miami Grand Prix at Hard Rock Stadium F1 will compete at two U.S. races in one calendar year for the first time since 1984, with the popular U.S. Grand Prix at Austin's Circuit of the America continuing in its current spot. The record-setting season will start with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 20 and finish with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 20 in order to avoid a clash with football's winter World Cup in Qatar.
