Construction of new Aston Martin factory underway

Construction work has officially started on the new Aston Martin factory, the British team have announced. Back in 2019, shortly after Lawrence Stroll led a takeover of the team then known as Racing Point, they announced plans to build and move into a brand new factory on their Silverstone site. The initial plan was to make the move in the summer of this year, but such plans were then delayed due to the global pandemic. As a result, the move-in date was pushed back by a year to August of 2022, and the team is now on-track to meet that target, with them announcing that construction is underway.
