Race against time for Ferrari to get Sainz into qualifying

Article To news overview © Dieter Rencken Ferrari's Carlos Sainz's participation in qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix remains in doubt, after the Spaniard crashed his SF21 heavily during third practice. Sainz had just negotiated Turn 3 when he lost the rear of the car into the Hugenholtz banked left-hander. Hitting the barriers with his left front corner, the car bounced around and the rear of the car impacted heavily with the barriers. With obvious concerns over the gearbox and driveshafts after such an impact, Ferrari have been working hard to repair the damage ahead of qualifying and it's not evident whether Sainz will be able to take part in Q1 or not.
