The event at Silverstone was positively received by most as Max Verstappen took the first ever Sprint Qualifying event on Saturday, finishing ahead of championship rival Lewis Hamilton in the 100km mini-race. With the Monaco GP often a procession due to the lack of overtaking opportunities on the tight track, Ricciardo wonders if a radical new format would inject some life into the event.
