From 2025 onwards Formula 1 wants to use engines that are less complex and require less development costs in order to attract new manufacturers. In Austria an important meeting will take place to discuss this, where also potential competitors Porsche and Audi will join. Future power source Formula 1 Formula 1's plan is to replace the current 1.6L V6 hybrid powerplant.
