The Technical Draft: Why Hamilton is wrong on energy use
Lewis Hamilton recently questioned the increasing weight of Formula 1 cars, noting the impact on the nimbleness and aesthetic appeal, but critically linking it to the sport's impact on the environment and sustainability. “I don’t understand why we’re going heavier, I don’t understand particularly why we go heavier when there’s all this talk about being more sustainable – just as the sport is going in that direction,” he said. “By going heavier and heavier and heavier, you’re using more and more energy.
