Rinus van Kalmthout drove a great qualifying session at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Ed Carpenter Racing driver had qualified in fifth place for the 'Fast Nine', but on Sunday he even managed to set third fastest time, good for a place on the front row of the grid. Only Scott Dixon and Colton Herta were ahead of him. In his last of four laps, things almost went wrong when the Dutchman experienced massive oversteer in the first corner. "It was on the edge, but I kept my foot on the accelerator. I knew beforehand that the first corner was the most difficult.
