Bottas: I’m not here to let people past

Article To news overview © Mercedes Valtteri Bottas has admitted he could have let teammate Lewis Hamilton through earlier but chose to drive his own race rather than getting out of the way. Hamilton was chasing down Max Verstappen for the lead of the Spanish GP and came across his teammate towards the end of the race. Bottas has talked about not allowing Hamilton by easily in the past and stood by that statement. It took until Turn 10 for Hamilton to get past and he lost time to Verstappen on that lap but in the end it did not affect the race outcome.
