Having won the previous race in Imola, expectations were high in the Red Bull camp heading into the Portuguese Grand Prix weekend. Unfortunately, both Verstappen and his team were comprehensively beaten by Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes with further salt being rubbed into the wound when Verstappen's fastest lap was deleted for exceeding track limits.
