F1 announces 10-year Miami GP deal, starts 2022

Formula 1 has officially announced a 10-year deal to start hosting a second race in the US – the Miami Grand Prix – from 2022 and beyond. The Miami Grand Prix will be held at the Miami Dolphins' Hard Rock stadium, where a brand-new 5.41km, 19 corner track will be built for the 20 drivers to tackle from next season. The announcement marks the end of an incredibly long battle trying to add a second US race in Miami, with fierce local opposition proving to be a major obstacle for Formula 1.
