Verstappen and Red Bull talk on board radio after stalling

Max Verstappen's radio tells us that the problem with his drive shaft has suddenly started. The Red Bull Racing driver is asked if he can drive his car to the pit lane exit, but that is no longer possible. The RB16B stops working and that means the end of Friday for Verstappen. Verstappen's 'curse' in Italy will therefore continue for a while. Last year, the Dutchman recorded three DNF's in Mugello, Imola and Monza, and this year he has again failed on the first day.
