During the shortened sixth stage of the Dakar Rally the fastest participants were still almost four hours away. It was also a stage in which we saw different faces back at the front of the field. Participants who lost a lot of time in the previous days now made up for a lot. One of them is Juan Barreda Bort. Honda's Spanish motorcyclist won his third stage of the rally and thus his 27th stage of his career. However, due to a few bad days, this does not allow him to reach a seventh place in the general classification.
