Red Bull Racing and Mercedes agree on deferral of sustainable fuel

Formula 1 is considering introducing a new fuel in 2022 to improve durability, but Mercedes and Red Bull Racing agree that the step needs to be much bigger. Formula 1 currently uses fuels containing 5.75% biofuel. In 2021, with the new regulations, the F1 wanted an E10 fuel, 10% of which is biofuel. According to Christian Horner and Toto Wolff, however, this intermediate step, which is now planned for 2022, makes no sense.
