Mercedes shares in Aston Martin will 'for the time being have no influence' in F1
Aston Martin will participate in Formula 1 from 2021. Racing Point will then continue under the name of the car manufacturer. Previously, Toto Wolff had already invested money in Aston Martin and its shares, and at the end of October it was also announced that Mercedes had purchased 20% of its shares. According to Wolff, however, this purchase will not affect the F1 teams. "Not for the time being, because the Aston Martin F1 team is independent of the car manufacturer itself," explains Mercedes' team boss to Motorsport-Total.com.
