Eifel GP FP1 delayed due to weather conditions

Formula 1’s on-track return to the Nurburgring has been delayed due to inclement weather conditions at the venue. The championship has made a comeback to the circuit after a seven-year absence but misty and drizzly conditions prevailed on Friday morning. Shortly before the planned start of the first practice session an update was released by Race Control confirming that the medical helicopter is unable to fly. As a result the 90-minute session will start on time but the exit of the pit lane will not open.
