For Lando Norris, it was with a fifth-place finish at the British Grand Prix and again another good performance for the McLaren driver. Carlos Sainz had looked set for a good result as well but ended up in thirteenth place after suffering from a major tyre issue. The Spaniard had a flat tyre at the end of the race and saw fourth place slip through his fingers.  "I think it was just a very difficult race," said Norris to Sky Sports. "We didn't have the best pace today. Renault seemed to be faster than us. We weren't able to push the tyres the way we wanted. But after my pit stop, I ended up in a good place."
