Three-place grid penalty for Norris in Austria

McLaren's Lando Norris has been handed a three-place grid penalty for ignoring yellow flags during FP1 at the Styrian Grand Prix. Norris, who secured his first-ever podium finish in the opening race at the Red Bull Ring, was referred to the stewards after an investigation was launched into an alleged yellow flag infraction during Friday practice. Yellow flags were in force after Nicholas Latifi's Williams FW43 came to a grinding halt and, during this period, Norris passed both Sergio Perez in the Racing Point and Pierre Gasly in his AlphaTauri – the latter when yellow flags were clearly in operation.
